About Me

I got my first computer at 13 in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil — and I was hooked. After graduating in Information Technology, I moved to the United States in 2003 with big dreams and zero connections.

My early days? Delivering pizzas and working at McDonald's. But in 2004, at 22 years old, with a borrowed computer in a student apartment, I founded CambioReal to solve a problem I lived daily: the pain of sending money between Brazil and the USA.

A small website and an ad on Globo International became something bigger. We pioneered remote work, built a call center in Brazil, and became leaders in the remittance market. In 2014, we became the first to enable online remittances from Brazil to the U.S. In 2016, CambioCheckout was born to help American entrepreneurs access the Brazilian market.

Along the way, I moved from New York to Delaware, where I spent a decade building the company while earning my Master's in Finance from the University of Delaware. In 2011, I met Livia — we married in 2013. In 2015, our daughter Bianca was born. In 2016, we moved to Florida, where our son Lucas was born in 2018.

Today I live in Boca Raton with my family, running CambioReal since 2004, co-authoring books on digital competence, and using AI to change lives — starting with my own.

CambioReal started with a borrowed computer and a dream. It became proof that with hard work, innovation, and amazing people by your side, you can build something truly special.
